The Zodiacs Chronicle #1 Aries

   In the beginning, earth is cover with darkness and chaos. The demon of the underworld roam the earth. Killing, torturing, and corrupting all living creature they see. The gods saw this and sent out a young man from mount Olympus in search of great heroes who have 12 traits : Bravery, Loyalty, Versatility, Heart, Confidence, Precision, Passion, Freedom, Dedication, Originality, and Creativity.

   The young man quest begin. Not long after the young man arrived on earth, he met a ram that has got a golden fleece. The ram say “who are you mortal ?” the young man then say “ I’m a boy that been ordered by the gods to seek out heroes and bring peace into this world”. The ram then say “A hero you say ? Hahahaha”, the young man confused why is the ram laughing “Why are you laughing mr. ram? “ the ram answer “Because no one on earth have the characteristic of a hero, the demons have corrupted all being on earth” the young man doesn’t agree with the ram, he say “That’s no true mr. ram, maybe in your eyes our live is hopeless but in my eyes I see a great potential in everyone for becoming a hero, if you don’t believe me you may join me in my quest and see that your thought is wrong.” The ram agree with the young man offer and join him in his quest.

   Many days have passed, the young man and the ram are very tired and their supplies are almost out. Luckily they have finally arrived in a city called Boeotian, who was ruled by a king named king Athamas.

   The young man and the ram go to see king Athamas to seek help. Went they meet him, the young man say “Greeting noble king, I’m am just a young man who been sent here by the gods, you see that we are very tired and our supplies are very low, we seek for your help so that we may rest and fill our supplies in you city.” King Athamas then say “Greeting, of course by the gods that you may rest here but for the supplies I’m very sorry that I cannot fulfil, you see our harvest is not going so well.” The young man give thank you to the king for all his help.

   The ram worried for their supplies and say to the young man “What are we gonna do now ?” the young man think for a moment and say to the ram “Let’s wonder the town first, maybe we can find someone who can help us.”

   When they wonder the town, the ram saw a mysterious figure lurking in the alley. The ram then became curios and follow the figure. When he got close to the figure he was shock that the figure is king Athamas wife, Ino. The ram became more curious and follow Ino. The ram follow Ino until Ino meet a stranger, that stranger is the messenger of the Delphic Oracle that king Athamas appealed for help. The ram get closer and heard that the harvest fail is all Ino’s doing and she is bribing the messenger to bring a false reply that Phrixus, her step son, must be sacrificed to save the harvest. The ram then ran as he can to the young man.

   When he founded the young man, he told him everything that he heard. The ram ask ‘’What should we do ?’’ the young man answer “Nothing, I am a mere mortal that the gods gaved me a task to seek heroes not to help people, and you just a ram.” Hearing this, the ram do not agree and will interfere with Ino’s plan.

   The next day, the young man woke up alone. He was confused why the ram is not beside him. In worried, the young man quickly look for the ram. Little that he know that the ram is with the goddess Nephele, king Athamas ex-wife.

   The ram told Nephele Ino’s plan. Enrage by the news, Nephele give the ram the ability to fly and told him to save her children.

   When king Athamas is about to sacrifice Phrixus, the ram fall from the sky and knocking back both of them.  The ram say “Climb on to my back Phrixus, I’m here to save you !” Phrixus then climbed on to the ram's back and they flew away from there.

   When the ram meet the young man again, the young man have known the heroic act the ram does and say “Now you see that there is a soul of a hero in everyone of us and by saving Phrixus you have been chosen as one of the 12 heroes I seek. You are now called “Aries”, may your bravery struck fear onto your enemies.”
